Where Sanders stands

Minimum wage

I want to sponsor major efforts to make sure the federal minimum wage is at 25.00 or more, and that it continues to rise regularly and simultaneous to cost of living increases.

Election Day holiday

I would like to pass a law declaring Election Day a Federal Holiday. It would be a day totally committed to the electoral process without distractions or obstacles. I believe that mail-in has become somewhat of an albatross around our electoral necks. This law would somewhat relieve the need to manually handle and count millions of ballots and hopefully spur, more voter dedication and participation.
