Where Ruiz stands

Social Security & Medicare

As an emergency physician, I know that when care is out of reach, seniors pay the price.

Building a Stronger Economy

Small business is the lifeblood of the American economy, and every Californian deserves the opportunity to build a better life for their family. As a member of the Small Business Caucus, I continue to foster bipartisan relationships in order to cut bureaucratic red tape, level the playing field, and create economic conditions for business of all sizes to thrive and succeed.

Building a Stronger Economy

I helped pass the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, creating 87,000 new jobs in California, and the CHIPS and Science Act, bringing good jobs to the desert. I’ve secured millions of dollars to revitalize the Salton Sea. I’m working to develop Lithium Valley opportunities in the Imperial Valley, creating jobs, cleaning our environment, and making our region one of the country’s biggest clean energy producers.

Building a Stronger Economy

I also believe it is vital for our economy and the well being of American families to prioritize women’s economic security. That’s why I have fought for equal pay for equal work, expanding paid family and sick leave, and increasing access to affordable child care.

Families & communities

As an Emergency Physician, I saw too many patients arrive when it was already too late. Promotoras change that. They knock on doors, speak our language, and earn the trust that keeps families healthy before a crisis hits. This resolution recognizes their work and thanks them for everything they do for our communities.

Priorities
