What committees interest you?
Having numerous friends and former athletes that are part of California's great agricultural industry, I would be very interested in being on the Agriculture Committee. The livelihood of American farmers and the integrity of our food supply must be protected.
What are your thoughts on term limits?
Power intoxicates men. When a man is intoxicated by alcohol he can recover, but when intoxicated by power he seldom recovers. - James F. Byrnes The longer a representative is in office, the more power one accumulates. The more power one has the greater likelihood of being corrupted by that power. For this reason I do firmly believe in term limits in both the House and Senate.
What are your views on financial transparency and government accountability?
“The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public’s money.” -- Alexis de Tocqueville, French historian Not only does Congress bribe the public, but they serve special interests, self interests and the globalist agenda. Accountability to We The People and personal integrity are sorely missing in today’s elected officials. This needs to change for our Republic to survive. We The People should receive full transparency from the government on how every dollar is spent.
Families & communities
I love this community. In addition to having served the greater Stockton community through athletics at UOP, St. Mary’s High School and in private business, I have served on the Founding Board of the Stockton Leadership Foundation. I served on the board of Ken Owen’s Christian Community Concerns and I served on the board of the Stockton Pregnancy Help Center. Seeking a better future for everyone in our community has been a long time focus I have held.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Energy independence must be restored. America has the largest natural resources in the world for us to achieve energy independence and it is not being used. To ensure our freedom, these resources need to be utilized so that the American people and this nation or not at the mercy of foreign oil producing nations. America needs to be an energy exporting nation which will have a tremendous boost the out economy and improve affordability across the board.
In Washington, we have way too much self-interest and not enough service interest.
