I am a Certified Public Accountant since 1992 with a B.S.-Accounting, M.S.-Taxation, and MBA-Finance. I have the financial knowledge and experience to keep California an economic powerhouse while building a more affordable future. Voters elected me to four public offices where I focus on accountability, transparency, fixing broken systems, cutting waste, and delivering results. As State Treasurer, I financed a record number of affordable housing units, expanded down-payment assistance for first-time homebuyers, saved distressed hospitals, and attracted investments that created good-paying jobs.
