Before running for office I spent nearly two decades as a builder. I built housing communities and financed infrastructure projects in the private sector. As Lieutenant Governor, I’ve helped create clean-energy jobs, managed public lands, and voted to deliver more than 60,000 new college housing beds to help reduce costs for students and families.

I’m running for state Treasurer to responsibly manage California’s finances, strengthen our economy, and make smart investments that create opportunity. As Treasurer, I will build more affordable housing through public finance; invest in the financial future of children and families, defend health care and immigrant communities, and protect pensions for hard-working Californians.
