← Alabama Governor race · All Alabama races
U.S. senator (2021–present).
Tommy Tuberville was born in Camden, Arkansas, in 1954.
Also running: Doug Jones (D)
Immigration
As Governor, I will back the blue, enforce the law, and work with President Trump to deport illegal alien criminals.
Education
As Governor, I will expand school choice and make sure that parents, not the government, are in charge of their child's educational future.
Taxes
As your Governor, I will work to further reduce taxes, get rid of waste, and make life in Alabama more affordable.
We're going to do data centers. It will help you tremendously. The tax money that comes from those things is unbelievable for schools, for law enforcement, for anything that's done.
If your community says no, my answer is no.
Build what you need. Replace what you take.
I am 100 percent for data centers because I've studied them for the last three or four years. I was watching TV this morning and the superintendent of Birmingham Schools basically said, 'We've got a data center here that's going to pay us $30 million a year.' We need money. We need money in this state.
It makes too much noise. It's going to ruin the climate — bull crap. They are listening to all this nonsense they see on social media that's coming from China because China does not want us to grow.
Power companies stand to make a lot of money selling electricity to data centers. We must protect Alabama ratepayers while new facilities are built. Third, data centers must replace the power and water capacity they take.
It uses as much water as two McDonald's. That's a fallacy when people say it uses too much water.
Yeah, I was all for it. We need to have more kids. We need to have an opportunity to do that, and I thought this was the right thing to do.
No. No. No. We need to keep the filibuster.
No more tax abatements. No more tax incentives.
I’m changing how Alabama treats data centers. No more tax breaks. They go in the highest property tax class, pay the full cost of the power lines, substations, and water systems they need, and replace the power and water capacity they take.
