- Parliament is unicameral with 200 members, elected every four years.
- The country is divided into 13 electoral districts. Seats are allocated in proportion to the number of Finnish citizens living in each district; the Åland district always elects one member.
- Results are calculated separately in each district using the d’Hondt method: each party, electoral alliance or joint list gets a vote total; its candidates are ranked by personal votes; the top candidate gets the full total as a comparative index, the second half, the third a third, and so on; seats go to the highest indexes.
- Every Finnish citizen who is 18 by election day may vote.
Pending The seat count per district for 2027 is set by the Government; Vote Book will add it once published.
